I know zero of salon's tactics, thanks for pointing it out. The BBC for world markets says "Mr Trump" constantly, but only 60% of the time, and comically, BBC for the first two months of Trumps presidency always referred to ex-president Obama as "PRESIDENT OBAMA!!!" and simultaneously only uttering "MR TRUMP" not "President Trump". BBC is really fake news.

CNN and MSNBC generally just call him Trump. No first name or title of office.
