The main reason for the protests is the disconnect between the elite and the working classes (hence the initial gas price hike). However, I really wonder how many are protesting about the mass influx of immigration. You have predominantly Muslim residential areas where they are unofficially implementing Sharia law - openly praying in the streets, banning women from small businesses, possible chances of child grooming gangs (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gZFGpNdH1A). Of course, everyone might give immigrants the benefit of the doubt, but there will always be that distrust towards them - even from authorities (https://www.rt.com/news/441392-france-drops-off-migrants-italy/). Even back when Algeria was a French colony, the French had their own phrase towards the African country's work ethic (https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/travail_d%27arabe).
The most unacceptable aspect is this: https://files.catbox.moe/djyu3s.mp4. No justification for this behavior whatsoever. If these people who revere a pedophile prophet can't respect basic moral decency, then there is absolutely no way they can integrate into first-world society.
This is a fight to stop the erosion of French culture. "Paris is not Paris anymore" and if things get worse, France won't be France anymore. Diversity may work in theory, but with all of America's sanctuary cities currently in an uproar, we see that massive third-world immigration is not compatible with first-world countries.
