Here's the link for everyone else's convenience, also some people probably don't trust that somewhat sketchy looking link.

I don't think you know what the Confederate flag stands for. It doesn't stand for racism. The victory write the history books so of course they'll teach you otherwise.

The country has always been and always will be divided by the north and south. The wedge issue of the day was always slavery. When founding a new state they had to have two, one free and one enslaved to keep a peaceful balance. The north really resented the south and levied large taxes on them every chance they had. The southerners just wanted to be left alone, while they beat their slaves and fuck their sisters.

The confederacy began as a bunch of fugitive slave patrols, protecting the south from slave revolts, by enslaving any black man the caught roaming free. The continuity didn't work because free black men from the north could have their freedom stolen in the south and southerners couldn't take their slaves north without setting them free. The irreconcilable differences were settled in the Dred Scott decision. The south won and congress passed the fugitive slave act. This pushed abolitionists into action. The underground railroad provoked the slave patrols into secession.

So the confederate flag doesn't just stand for slavery. It stands for anti-american inbred hillbillies and slavery. The confederate flag as we know it only reappeared in the 60's while protesting the civil rights act. So you can say it definitely stands for Jim Crow too.
