Do "they" do anything to treat 800+ year old wood in these sorts of historic places so they are not so susceptible to fire?

Most I can think of is probably a bit of varnish.

There's a hospital right next door. All these old wooden structures. Live embers flying. So while fighting the fire they are also mounting a difficult evacuation. People in the streets are singing and praying en masse. So is it simple neglect? Or arson? Cultural jihad? Or just architectural deterioration?

So far I think it is being played off as neglect though I suspect jihad cultural arson. Fuckin' Muslims are jealous of our artistic talent.
