Hi everyone, come join me on a trip down conspiracy lane.
Today, the two Nigerian brothers that said they assaulted Smollett recanted and said they made the whole thing up, so the prosecutor dropped the charges against Smollett.
So we have two realistic possibilities here. One, someone got to the two brothers and threatened or coerced them into changing their story. Two, the Chicago PD flipped Smollett just like they flipped the brothers. In case one, either corruption wins again, or even less likely Smollett was telling the truth all along. In case two, Smollett is cooperating now to avoid jail time and the Chicago PD is reeling in a bigger catch.
I can't take credit for this, but when the initial story broke someone pointed out the convenient link between Kamala Harris' anti-lynching law and Smollett's assault. It all fit together too perfectly. So if the police got him to flip, they're now going to use this time to collect more evidence against Harris. This will torpedo her political career and end her presidential run.
Now, the other question I asked myself at the start of this whole thing is why would the most corrupt city in the country, run by Democrats, prosecute someone like Smollett in the first place and actually do the right thing for once? It only hurts their cause. And the only answer I could come up with is that we are seeing one group of Democrats use their corrupt apparratus against another up and coming Democrat (Harris). So to begin with, it was more about political leverage than justice. And if that's the case, them letting Smollett off shows they're going for more by lulling that target into thinking their bribes worked.
Or the bribes really did work and none of this will happen.

Except his lawyer is going to jail too, right?
