Obviously they don't care about white lives. If you think these blacks and women aren't the most sexist and racist groups on the planet you're insane. They are not just racist but rabid and violent and so sure they're right as to be impossible to argue with at the best of times and when like this you might as well be talking to a violent enraged chimp.

See this is where voat falls short to me. Because I am not wanting to be an active participant for the most part, I can not downvote someone who compares black people to enraged chimps, others can not, and it sits at 27 plus. Racist BS

Which lives do not matter? Obviously some life has no value if he was forced to apologize.

Is there video? This should go on nationwide ads. The Democratic party thinks some American lives have no value, and go after them relentlessly to state which lives are worth less, and if that is not true why was he forced to apologize? This is a Romney 47% moment for Democrats.

You're a racist. You think you can lump whole group of people together, saying they're "rabid" and "violent". You realize how many black people there are in the world? Do you truly believe that a race as a whole can all exhibit these same traits? Stop being an idiot.

How soon until widespread hate crime against whites starts, and feds ignore. Then when a white person loses it and retaliates the media focuses only on that. I feel like I am watching Germany after the loss in WW1 only Whites are now Jews. This is dangerous

[–] Mauve 5 points 2 points (+7|-5) ago

This is a common misconception about what the message is. From the article:

When some people rejoin with 'All Lives Matter' they misunderstand the problem, but not because their message is untrue. It is true that all lives matter, but it is equally true that not all lives are understood to matter, which is precisely why it is most important to name the lives that have not mattered, and are struggling to matter in the way they deserve

I'm not saying people should or should not find "All Lives Matter" offensive, but I think it's a good idea to understand the message and the reasons for their behavior.

[–] RumbledFeathers 7 points 3 points (+10|-7) ago

I think thats bullshit if blacks want their lives to have value they should stop murdering, raping and killing each other. Most of the violent run ins they have with the law are their own fault. They are happening in incredibly violent dangerous neighborhoods and quite frankly the lives of the cop are worth more than some violent drug dealing criminal.

[–] peacegnome 1 points 0 points (+1|-1) ago

If that is the motivation then they should be saying "male lives matter" since there is a much higher correlation with police killing males than there is with police killing African Americans. From here

Men comprised 95.2% of the first 500 people killed, while 4.8% were women. There are slightly more women than men among the general population.

So... all lives don't matter?

This is why I love white people, out of all the races they have the most capacity to accept other races unconditionally.

[–] Morbo 3 points 121 points (+124|-3) ago

If we jump too quickly to the universal formulation, 'all lives matter,' then we miss the fact that black people have not yet been included in the idea of 'all lives.'

Sigh. Why does it always have to be divided like this? By saying this statement, Judith Butler (and the protesters) is acting as part of the problem rather than the solution. All lives do matter. All human lives matter. She is playing up one group of people who are treated poorly and unjustly while simultaneously ignoring many more groups who have it just as bad or worse. All human lives matter, Judith. All human lives matter. All human lives matter. This should be the mantra and the way forward. Stop trying to segregate and divide.

If Americans aren't their own number 1 enemy, what the fuck is happening in America? These violent dunces need to shut the fuck up and learn to be part of the solution - and stop being the obvious problem.

They want to be able to bomb peaceful countries without repercussions. They want to be able to murder each other and others in high numbers and have the UN ignore it. They want to be able to ruin the political speeches af their own supporters and expect us to like it. But what they are really doing is showng that many of them aren't willing to behave in a manner befitting a member of the international community.

1
7

[–] Mmatiasn 1 points 7 points (+8|-1) ago

I agree they can't fucking behave they have to do shit different or else is not cool. Why can't they just protest like you said in a manner befitting a member of society and also take into account that it's not just "blacks" who are victims of police brutality.

2

[–] MenachemSchmuel 1 points 2 points (+3|-1) ago

Holy fuck guys, this thread is just made of racism. Blacks aren't a single, cohesive group. However, blacks as a general group were marginalized and enslaved for centuries, and as a group have never recovered to the point of being on equal footing with whites.

So you have a bunch of really poor people who receive (because of their stature, likely no fault of their own) incomplete education, not only on their ancestor's oppression, but in general. There's a small population of them who do completely understand the problems, and argue rationally for their slights. But when they form an organization of people, they must populate it with uneducated, angry members. You see this as "they want to be able to assault peace officers without repercussion," when one black person does something that the average would not.

Seems to me you think there's never been white people responding violently when they feel they've been slighted.

The original hashtag really should have been something like "black lives also matter". It would emphasize the point that there are unique issues that black people face today while also making it clear that there isn't a preference for one group over another.

They are isolating allies. I have never felt so segregated as "one kind" of human as opposed to one human as I have over the last year. I've been told that if I don't acknowledge race at any chance, I'm committing a microaggression and that I have to recognize distinctions against everything I've been taught about race. I was always told that we are all supposed to love each other and color doesn't matter. I felt much more hope before SJWs wanted to force me to keep things divided. It's made me doubt that things with race in the country will improve. I could be wrong, but I see it as a step backwards.

They actually believe that only white people are capable of being racist.

The media (now to include reddit) is an echo chamber of reinforcement of this falsehood.

It kind demonstrates as well how fractured the political landscape is. In the party that is supposed to espouse equality and an 'we are all in it together attitude' you now have to be careful not to step out of line and say as much.

0
6

[–] PM_ME_YOUR_ARCHES 0 points 6 points (+6|-0) ago

Because there's a culture of apology that's been adopted not just in the US, but other developed countries too. People care far too much about offending people, mainly because they're afraid of a witch-hunt if what they said gains too much attention. It's so easy to crucify someone now, all it takes is for a few thousand people to complain on twitter, or a major news network to start reporting on it. Then you either apologise and make it look like what you said was wrong, or defend yourself and piss off even more people.

The same reason main stream Republicans don't talk shit about The Tea Party conspiratards.

0

[–] Ripper 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

They do, and they even have gone as far as using federal agencies to investigate and try and cull them. The money thrown at non tea party candidates was astronomical in comparison to other congressional and senate primaries by Republicans.

I dunno i've talked to some Tea Party people and at least they grasp history, are organized and they are getting officils elected all without violance or force against others. I mean fuck them right. Actually using democracy and trying to better themselves as they get screwed more and more by the Federal Government. I think the tea party in away should be admired. The money is all sent to the urban cities while rural people are lucky to get a snowplow with there tax dollars. The democrats divy it up on stadiums, money losing infrastructure, pensions and welfare to buy votes while Tea Party people just want to be left alone and not have to have their retirement and paychecks taxed more and inflated away. Say what you want about them but the media, government and everyone else seems to hate them yet they are still a major force in this country. I'm sure next election will have an acorn 2.0 to take away from those asshole tea party people in the country and give to the community organizers the help to buy Democrat votes.

Man... fuck SJW's. Fuck them right in the mouth, the stupid fucks. If it wasn't so depressingly sad, it'd actually be pretty funny how badly they self-defeat themselves on their own issues. "End racism against us! Fuck every race that isn't us!"
