Both Stanford students claim their degrees have been devalued by the scandal because potential employers may question whether they were admitted on merit or having rich parents.

Oh man. Delicious. Let's see a fucking landslide of lawsuits against these Commie institutions.

Affirmative Action, thy name is thee.

[–] Gargilius 0 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago

Sure, but AA beneficiaries who are handed Ivy Leagues and other prestigious degrees because diversity! are usually easily identifiable, it doesn't fool anyone. This is worse.

[–] eronburr 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

Their best defense is going to be that everyone suing was not admitted based on merit making their scholarship worth exactly what they paid.

[–] Mocker 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

This is seriously the best thing Ive heard so far in 2019.

Burn it down. Burn it all down.

...isnt the fault solely with the faggots that worked the system, the middlemen that take the million from the rich parents, then falsify the kids records?

[–] Fullmetal 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

Once corruption takes hold on this level it can't be removed. Even if they loose a lawsuit today the stupid fucks will pull the same shit again tomorrow.

Oh don't fret, the current nonsense isn't changing the value of your degree one bit. It's been devalued for a long time.

I didn't even think of this when the scandal broke. All those overachieving high school kids that worked their ass off to get into their dream school feel cheated now, whether they got in or not.

Yep, for non-elites, a lot of extracurricular credits are a requirement. Clubs, community projects, school newspaper, tutoring others, all that stuff. While the elite kids just wander onto a soccer field for one match so mommy can snap a photo or two.

Elites are not intimidated by "The System" like normies are. They know it's all fake. That you can buy your way in if you know the right (((people))). The fish rots from the head. And in places like India, it's now rotten all the way through. Nobody fears "The System" there. They all cheat and bribe wherever possible. Which is why no single college credit should be honored outside India itself. Anybody who plays by the rules is considered a sucker. That same currynigger mindset exists within our elites in the West.

Wow. PhD in For Reals hereby conferred. Don’t want to get carried away, but the pace of calling spades spades is picking up steam. What’s your take on what if anything happens near, mid and long term? Mumbai Express?

The snowflakes might be useful for something, finally.

It costs about $100 to apply, no chump change really.

When my kid got his acceptance ltr .. I examined it. It was written 3 months before it was mailed out (the date had it imprinted like a week before it arrived but it was actually printed months before. Maybe they were holding it in case someone wanted to pay $500,000 and then bump him.

[–] Pwning4Ever 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

$100 to have some six figure smuck look at your SAT score. total bullshit.

[–] Gorillion 0 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago

$100 is one of those psychological sums. When it's some big deal, like College application, they know people will just eat it without complaint.

"Administrative Costs" = money we know you'll pay to feel safe, but not so high as to feel ripped off.

$100 to have some six figure smuck look at your SAT score to place it in file cabinet 13. total bullshit.

[–] official_disclaimer 0 points 10 points (+10|-0) ago

Fucking love it.

They should be forced to return EVERYBODY's application fees at minimum.

[–] dundundunnnnn 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

PLUS interest.

[–] forget-me-not 0 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago  (edited ago)

Hmm, wish I could pitch in. I got waitlisted at a couple "muh elite" colleges. The whole thing is kind of a sham if you're not in the right field though.

[–] sunshine702 0 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago  (edited ago)

A snobby San Fran college didn't "agree" with my gpa from my small town highschool. They felt it wasn't up to THEIR standards. I got zero financial help and was also waitlisted. Yep. I was pissed then. Agreed. I ended up getting a LEGITIMATE degree from a small normal school. Burn the assholes down.

[–] DrSteveBrule9000 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

There are no good universities in San Francisco for undergrad. U must have done really poorly in high school. What wa me ur gpa in high school?

[–] andrew_jackson 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

All part of the education bubble.

[–] Samsquamch 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

Normally I would think these suits are frivolous, but with the DOJ being involved in this, I think they may actually have some merit and support.
