Because the slippery slope is a real thing. Our enemies understand this.

If these college kids were to get away with arranging beer cups in the shape of a swastika, before you know it the vilification of the third reich starts losing its grip.

The streisand effect is also a real thing. Nazi jokes have been around for a long time and they didn't cause naziism to become popular again. The only reason it's experiencing a comeback is because the SJWs going into overdrive on shit like this.

Eh, if the information has potential of becoming viral. Nazi jokes don't have that potential due to decades of conditioning through public schools and hollywood.

they didn't cause naziism to become popular again.

Nazism becoming popular is a pipe dream at this point. What they're fearful of is conditioned hatred turning into the kind of apathy which naturally accompanies historical events.
