So instead of welfare, 25,000 jobs would have been produced. Given that each paycheck would be taxed at like 40 % with regards to sales taxes on purchases, and income taxes directly collected from pay stubs. Now imagine 25,000 paychecks at a rate of lets just say $100.00 per week in tax revenue. That's about $2,500,000 per week not even including corporate taxes which would be paltry in comparison. Does anyone in New York do math? Apparently not Occasional Cortex.
