Their roads must have been top notch -- not a wheel rut to be seen.

Joking aside, the abilities that LiDAR and other advanced imaging technologies add to archaeology are really exciting. Once they figure out how to interpret multispectral imaging from satellites things will really get interesting.

To be honest, that is only true because scientists like to waste money with no business case for a good return. If they don’t figure these things out quickly on the satellites in orbit and under development, future generations of sats won’t be built with unproven imaging bands.

I love the capabilities of LiDAR. What they've done in Central America with that massive Mayan city that was found, was amazing.

The real question is; is this a lost city or just a case of the tribe being gone? It really doesn't look too much different than Africa today

The lost city of mud huts made probably out of actual shit?

I'm sure the advanced technology is in there somewhere.

So the same technical abilities as native Africans today when left to their own devices.

Or to rephrase in a factually accurate way, "Science has confirmed, no forward progress for Africa since the 15th century."
