but they will not be on all of them. They will be randomized so that officers will never know if their actions are being recorded or not

They won't be on all the time or won't be on all of the uniforms? I think if you were wearing one of them it'd be pretty obvious.

And who watches the watchers. Do the police themselves decide when a camera is "on" or not? Because departments aren't exactly known for outing their brutes.

We need cameras on all the cops, with jailtime for tampering/disabling the camera while on duty.

Also seems like a good excuse to loose footage. Just like with dash-cam footage being lost or corrupted when it'll implicate an officer. All they have to say is that t was not recording that office at that time.

I do not work in law enforcement and therefore do not understand the intricacies, but my understanding is that no officer would be able to have the knowledge of whether or not they had one. Which is how the Panopticon works. I honestly can't believe that so many people don't know the philosophy of the Panopticon. Just look it up.

Huh? That's not at all what were talking about here. A bodycam isn't exactly invisible. I can understand not knowing if it's on. But you'd be stupid to not know if you couldn't detect a camera hanging off your body.
