American citizens certainly do care if they are spied on. It's just that we are not given any say over it, just like everyone else in the world. If you want privacy, the only way to get it is to not use anything connected to a satellite or the internet.
other countries are currently making their voices heard while wearing stylish yellow vests. you think if 10 million u.s. citizens stormed a congressional meeting, that govt would say nah we don't wanna hear you.
