Not that it's a bad idea. I've been considering this myself.

The weakness of America is the lack of middle tier social structures. We used to have the church, but that was killed by television. We used to have homogenized small towns that encouraged local trust, now we have artificially diversified ghettoes and suburbs that isolate us to the point we don't even make eye contact with neighbors at the mailbox.

Network. Talk to people, find out who's who. Friendships become neighborhood alliances. Social networks can lead us to congregate in towns of our choice, just like the immigrants did. I find it sad and a little embarrassing that Americans let their family values deteriorate to the point where poor foreigners can out organize us. The Germans nearly took over America from within before the world wars.

Raise a family if you can, and seek others you can talk to. If we raise the standard for our own behavior again, we will reassert ourselves.
