Glad he's okay. Agree or disagree with his politics he's still a person.

I don't think war criminals qualify. He wouldn't care if you were being tortured to death, for no reason, in a CIA blacksite.

I think you are attributing the sins of the son G. W. Bush on the father. Remember, The father stopped short of invading Iraq in the first gulf war because he wasn't an idiot.

Still a person. But your line of reasoning is just out of emotion, which I understand.

I am all for him getting proper medical treatment, and I would like George Bush tried for his war crimes. I am referring to the Iran-Contra scandal which involved drugs, arms, and money. Bush claimed, in his own words, to be "out of the loop." This was found to be a lie in the early 90's.

Unfortunately, a few days before Christmas in 1992, when Bush was a lame duck, he pardoned I think 23 top officials. And I mean top officials. It was the largest and most blatant political pardon in the US as far as I know. Those pardoned would have implicated Bush, perhaps as the mastermind, of the whole sordid affair.

I am also referring to Iraq, as the first war was built on lies too. If you have not seen the testimony of Nayirah about taking "babies out of incubators and leaving them on the cold floor to die," check it out at youtube. Absolutely, totally known-false charges. That's why it's down the memory hole.

On a side note, Bush actually had the nerve to go into Somalia as a lame duck. He left that mess to Clinton who the TV was glad to blame with that whole "black hawk down" incident. It was amazing how quickly Somalia became "Clinton's first war" and the TV forget that Bush was the guy who went in.

And just for good measure, Bush went into Panama, I think on December 20 of his first year in office. That was quite a fiasco when Noriega ran to religious sanctuary. But the poor district of Panama City was destroyed. There is a good movie about it showing alleged mass graves from this unjustified slaughter, The Panama Deception, which won the Emmy award for best documentary -- but they never showed it on TV.

a person

...whom you have never met and have no affiliation with. Honestly, why would you care one way or the other? He's just a person. Everyone dies, and some die in rather humiliating, mundane scenarios. He got lucky this time, but gravity is always there, waiting for you to slip up, then WHAM.

He doesn't really care one way or another. However he is basically making a statement saying: wishing death on him is not cool yo.

[–] JayTea 2 points -1 points (+1|-2) ago

Why care? Because like you so aptly put. Hes just a person. And so are you. And so am I. We're all people and we're all human. The moment we start dehumanizing people and casting political resentment above human sentiments is the moment we've lost all humanity. Don't be that person...

His condition is stable -- he is fine -- but he'll be in a neck brace.

Good news. Neck breaks can go much worse.

He's also the same president that got us involved in Iraq.

To be fair, Kuwait was invaded and asked for coalition support, All these countries helped

GHW even said that taking down Saddam would be fucking retarded in his book after he left office. Little GW just had to finish father's job though

Kuwait was being invaded by it's neighbor, we only intervened after we got real coalition support.

Your Cheney allegations are obviously phony. First, Cheney wouldn't run, he would walk at a casual pace. Second, he wouldn't flee the scene, he would wait until help arrived and then demand they apologize for what happened.
