Not all of them, but the saner, egalitarian ones ignore the existence of the crazy, radical ones.

Well unfortunately the overwhelming majority of feminists are the radical SJW types and the fact that any sane ones stay quiet is why the movement has been dragged so far into crazy town. By staying quiet and not opposing the SJW types the silent minority gets swept along with the rest of the crazies.

Hell the fact that people have to say "I'm an equity feminist" should be a giant red flag that the movement has totally gone off the rails.

I don't know that I would say the overwhelming majority are the crazies. The most radical part of any movement, political party, religious denomination, etc. are usually the loudest. The WBC comparison posted in the top comment thread is a good example of this. Most Christians I know find them offensive, and yet when I think of Christianity WBC is invariably one of the first things that pops in my mind, not because so many Christians agree with them, but because they are the loudest. Most feminists I know are starting to self identify as egalitarians in order to distance themselves from ass hats like Bahar Mustafa, Ellen Pao, and others of their ilk.

If they look like they're ignoring their existence, they're neither sane nor egalitarian, they're just pretending and fully support the radicals.

I prefer a term like equalist. Feminists are inherently biased. It is perfectly possible to support Women's rights (and human rights in general) without being a feminist.

Equalist and egalitarian is the same thing.

The crazy radical ones define the mainstream feminist movement. There is no such thing as moderate Feminism anymore, and if there is, it's so far underground that it basically has no bearing on society. Modern Feminism has lost touch with the core concepts of civil liberty.

I think the majority are the moderate ones, but they're not vocal or very active, because they're content; more or less the most privileged beings on earth.
