Yes. As they should. While Chief of the Fire Department, He wrote a prayer group pamphlet or small book for his church where he expressed Christian values and was publicly shamed and fired for it. Discrimination against Christian faith.

Can a person not be fired for their public statements provided they frame them as religious?
How about if a Muslim fire chief says that infidels deserve to burn?
