She would have reported to police if she wasn't lying. IMO she would have had a smoking gun then as there is no limitation where it allegedly happened but the fact she didn't tells me she wasn't being honest and had to worry about filing false police report catching up with her

No statute of limitations on felonies correct, but in 1982 her allegations would have amounted to a misdemeanor charge so yea time has past.
