I am sure that I am going to get down voted for this but I know this cannot be true. In our BT varieties of sweet corn we apply NO pesticides. That is the entire point. The non BT corn however does require pesticides to be applied.

Sorry I am a farmer not a Biotech engineer. I know that there are a lot of environmental benefits to the GMOs that we use. That said my dad started out as a beekeeper and it seems that it has become more difficult to keep a healthy hive.

This site is easily one of the top anti-science websites on the internet. Go there and look at the ads "Vitamin C cure for cancer" or one of their most viewed articles. The website is a bunch of psuedoscience bullshit.

You expect them to tell the truth when they're keeping the TPP secret for 4 years before saying what it actually involved? I don't think so...

Hmmm... I think you're lying. The pesticides aren't just used for insects. They are used to keep other flora from competing with the plants. Commercial fields are sprayed.

But no... That can't be. No one would come on to the internet and just start telling lies, would they?

Pesticides are only for insects. Herbicides are applied to kill weeds. And roundup ready crops take considerably less chemicals to effectively control the weed population. Although some weeds are starting to become roundup resistant.
