I'm sure it could if you injected enough of it or snorted a line but skin contact and maybe light inhalation is going to take it some time to saturate enough to kill.

Even injection of a high dose still takes days to manifest symptoms. Usually around 3-4 days is when it will achieve lethality. And the answer for survival after injection of a high dose is usually no, not unless they can figure out it was ricin poisoning within the first 24 hours before real alarming symptoms appear. At that even, the symptoms are common from lots of different poisonings like heavy metals and such. Source, am chem/bio weapon specialist.
