In fairness, something is only supposed to be considered a psychiatric disorder if it causes distress or harm. I'm not sure getting bruised every few weeks should count as harm, considering that people play football.
Getting bruises is not all it is. People who have these temptations and then accept and act on them eventually fuck up their mind, and it spreads. No man is an island. This is how LGBT acceptance and transgender bullshit took off.
Edit: That said, I don't think of sexual temptations as a true mental illness, but I'll fight for any stigma I can get at this point.

I know some people who keep BDSM shit under the lid and are normal in public (other than talking about it with close friends obviously). Other people are unhinged and can't hack it in normal life, but they usually have completely different problems, like sex addiction, borderline personalities or child abuse or something.
I guess it depends on the person. Just pointing out that BDSM doesn't automatically equal "needs psychiatric care." Which is what psychiatric disorder classifications are supposed to describe.
