Those were genuinely entertaining as I recall. Also, so was watching him destroy opponents 6-1, 6-0, 6-0. Plus, the open era was newish and raw talent was just starting to gain momentum over "class and breeding." At least that's how I remember it. Kind of like golf in the 90's.
