If only they were given papers and made legal, then all the diseases they had would magically disappear.
This is complicated, but perhaps a system could be designed.
This has a historical precedent: there were many diseases throughout Europe (as well as lice and other things) they screened for throughout Ellis Island's history. If something was found and was curable, they would get a hospital stay and quarantine there to prevent it from entering the US. No system is perfect obviously, but I'm sure it captured many obvious problems.
Of course an objective person would note that whites, with all of their 'privilege', were subjected to medical screening. But it would now be racist to suggest that in 2018.
Apparently, in 2018, if you're woke enough, you'll recognize that diverse new diseases are our strength.
