Anyone know what the claims of "anti-Americanism" with the Neil Armstrong movie are all about?

It seems that they chose to not include the iconic planting of the American flag on the moon. One of the actor in the movie (Ryan Gosling) said in an interview that it was because walking on the moon was a human race achievement, not an American one. Personally, I think it has more to do with pleasing Chinese audience than anything else.

Thanks for the info. I thought it was kind of lame to use a Canadian actor for the role in the first place, and now he's opening his yap about shit? Just do your fucking job, pretty boy.
