That has got to be the SHORTEST news story in the history of news.

lol I guess we know who owns Reuters.

[–] Tallest_Skil 0 points 9 points (+9|-0) ago

The Rothschild family bought Reuters and the Associated Press in the early 20th century.

Ok I was like is there a paywall I’m not seeing here? Ha

I’m almost certain nothing will happen to the Sackler family.

[–] Hoppy375 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

Lemme guess they're...

[–] My_Name_is_Not_Sure 0 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago

Indeed they are.

This is the right thing to do. This shit is floating around in numbers many orders of magnitude greater than prescribed sales. Pharma companies know exactly what they are doing.

Trump pushes U.S. lawsuit against drug companies over opioids | Reuters

'WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday again pressed U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions to sue drug companies over the nation’s ongoing opioids crisis.“I’d like to bring a federal lawsuit against those companies,” Trump said during a meeting of his Cabinet at the White House. That's one small ass article.

At least they only posted real news instead of speculating and pushing their propaganda on top of it.

[–] Gringojones 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

They couldn't find a way to make the opiod epidemic look good to make trump look bad. It's the equivalent of the kid who looks at the floor and begrudgingly has to apologize for something.

kratom nation

[–] Hoppy375 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

Can kratom relieve pain to a similar degree as opiates? Was having this debate today with a friend..

[–] RedditIsTheBest111 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago  (edited ago)

It effects the opposite Receptors in the brain opposed to opiods. But I'd say yes, yet it effects everyone differently, Just like any drug. Definitely safer considering how much it takes to od off it. Id recommend tying krakenkratom being a new person for their quality. But for quantity buy from a individual seller. In my opinion You shouldn't ever pay more than 150 for a key.

Used to work security in a pain management clinic. It's really hard to separate people who legitimately have chronic pain and people who are just junkies. I mean you can sort of tell who's a degenerate and who isn't based on appearances, but even the sweetest little old ladys can be raging dope fiends. The doctors would perform these invasive surgeries regularly just so when the inevitably don't work they have a justification to push more pain meds. Its good business too they'd drive mclarens to work regularly.

[–] Alopix 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

So... you know that doctors overmedicated people while telling them it was safe, and got rich off of it... but you still place responsibility on the people that trusted them?

[–] I_forgot_my_password 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

Both parties are at fault the way I see it

[–] Weasel_Soup 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

It's easy. Apply a finger to the painful area and if they flinch in pain they might be legitimate.

[–] ShinyVoater 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

If it were that easy, we wouldn't have any sort of problems at all. What you're thinking of is acute pain, which many people just learn to avoid triggering. Chronic pain, by definition, is a constant condition; there's no need for the area in question to be more susceptible to acute pain than normal(especially since it's perfectly possible for the actual damage to lie elsewhere).

[–] ibepokey 0 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago

why not also the doctors writing the scrips?

[–] Shartdownunder 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

Fucking get'em big dog.

Cunts have got blood on their hands on the same scale Stalin.

Corporate shielding should not save ceo's from the noose. What's the difference between the CEO of Nestle and the murderous dictator of a failed state?

[–] Gringojones 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

No. Not Stalin level. That's like comparing Jeffrey Dahmer to Attila the Hun.

But bad. Real bad.

[–] Shartdownunder 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

True, true.

Blowing things out of proportion can belittle its actual monstrosities. Not the game we play.
