I don't know what cashberry is about. I've seen RR but dropped his channel as soon as he started pimping. It was around the time of BitConnect and others and was an instant turn-off.

Last I heard Floyd Mayweather was trying to get Russian citizenship so he could invest there.

Regardless, yes, lending rates are high.

Viperguy is a nutter, factually wrong in his statements, and doesn't provide sources. Unfortunately, even if he did provide sources he'd cite or read them incorrectly because he's a troll.

I subbed back in the "Sergey & Sergey (behind the camera)" era, but even this 'scam' is kind of a reflection of 'real' Russia. Haven't really watched much in the past few years, but occasionally do skim over his stuff. I guess since I kind of like the guy, and am still interested in "daily Russian life", the 'scam' is more of another Russian phenomenon. I have 150 other channels, so I'm not really an avid follower of anyone. Except Mister Metokur, at the moment.

As far as trolls go, there are only a few (i.e. magic_man, literally_oprah) I consider irredeemable trolls who never say anything I would agree with. Even the trolls who troll 90% of the time sometimes say stuff that seems like a rational take on reality. Lots of weirdos here, and I'm probably one of them. lol

You got me thinking more about CashBery recently, actually. I still need to look into it more, but knowing how exorbitant interest rates are in Russia it might make some sense (though if you marry and have children the government will cut your rates in 1/2, basically--they're still trying to repopulate after their losses in WWII).

BTC/Crypto scams are universal. The US had to regulate them or we'd have them all over the place here. BitConnect was the most notorious. As far as high interest lending, PayDay lenders and pawn shops are pretty notorious, and typically owned by crooked types--essentially robbing people like Soros and empty houses.

Knowing Russia everything about it kind of makes sense, but the pyramid marketing and the "938476938475% return!!!!!" on their site screams out "CAUTION: Skeezy Shit!" to me. I still want to look at it some more though.

To be honest, if you can't double your money in a year investing you're not investing your money well. However, such a hands-off "give me one dollar and in one year I'll give you back two" raises a lot of red flags. To double, triple, 5x or more your money in a short time-frame you typically have to be really hands-on, and really on top of the markets, your money, and your investments.
