I think you're right to a certain degree. There is certainly an argument to be made that he shouldn't have been fired.

The main problem I have in this instance though is that Shapiro is being a major hypocrite. I watch his podcast, and he was stating constantly that Roseanne should have been fired and that she was a "crazy person".

His argument was that her comments could possibly drive viewers away from the network as they could be interpreted as racist. Yet he states that we shouldn't call for the firing of someone even more influential for saying things that are even more reprehensible than what Bar said.

Really disappointing on Shapiro's part. He isn't applying his principles equally.

Thanks for the update. You've summed up why this is an issue better than the article's author. I haven't really watched much of his stuff lately. I've been hooked on stefan molyneux's channel.

No problem. His hypocrisy has been pretty unbearable the past few days.

For example, he went on this whole diatribe about how we need to spend less time "owning the libs" and more time making rational arguments that bring people to "our side".

All well and good but this is the same guy who took on his thug life fan video persona during a Halloween episode and is the same guy who, if you sign up for full year subscription to his website, gives you a "leftist tears" thermose.
