Shoulda had the case relocated due to prejudice of the jurors, since they are clearly all leftards in Berkeley.

It’s repulsive they didn’t. The “average Berkeley juror” is going to be someone who thinks Antifa isn’t extreme enough. I’m not kidding...

The defending attorneys were happy having it tried right there. The prosecutor's prioritizing his leftist leanings over his oath of office to put criminals in jail was made clear in the article, so he wouldn't change venue either.

It's obvious that non-communists are no longer safe in Berkeley, and any students (or families, or businesses) that don't prescribe to those politics should evacuate.

The prudent move for anyone who isn't a complete leftist loon is to get away from these people. It's not "white flight" it's "white sanity."

An appeal with a change of venue is required here . . .

Double-jeopardy. Once someone has been judged innocent by a jury they can't be retried. They can possibly be tried for a different offense, perhaps on the federal level?

Unfortunately being declared innocent by a court would also make it difficult to sue them for damages.
