Seems light by legal standards

Six broken ribs. That's a seriously aggravated assault which could've easily slipped over the line into murder. Somehow our incarceration rate is through the roof for potheads and this guy gets a month-long vacation.

Why was Paul not armed?

Dude would've been leaking from five .38 caliber holes if he attacked me in my own damn yard.

Probably didn’t know he needed to carry to do lawn work. Hopefully it fucked up the attacker’s life. Wasn’t he a doctor?

Always carry, never tell.

Damn straight I carry when I mow the lawn. It's not the probability, it's the possibility. I'm no victim.

This guy should be tried for attempted murder

By your standard anyone who gets into a fight should be tried as attempted murder? He laid out his neighbor while mowing the lawn, he didn't even stomp him out after flattening him. This is a fair punishment.

The precedent is clear: attempted murder of a US Sennator gets 30 days in Jail.

It makes sense since being the Zodiac Killer gets a US.Sennator no time in jail.

people may say 30 days is too short.

if you are a rich fucker, so rich you live next door to a senator, 30 days will feel like a decade. terrible food (and not enough of it) niggers ooking and eeking at all hours. bikers and white morons.....hes gonna have a bad time. he will have to shit and piss in a room with 12 other guys depending on the cell.

a grey blanket, no pillow and sheets that need washed every week if hes lucky and the jail offers laundry. some places only offer it once a month. for this guy it will be a living hell every waking hour he is there.

Yeah, the jail here in Bowling Green isn't that bad really, but this dude is going to have the worst time of his life. Especially once the other inmates find out who he is and what he does. They'll beat his ass just for credit of beating his ass.
