We need a lawmaker with enough balls to draft legislation that puts false accusers behind bars for five years or so.

Would this apply to Prosecuters overcharging Defendents, too?

Yes. Stacking charges may not be as bad but its a close second.

It should be whatever the falsely accused would have received.

...as a minimum sentencing guideline. I could see some deserving considerably more than that.

10 years minimum, no parole.

False rape accusations should require the same prison sentence that the supposed rapist would have gotten . . .

[–] prairie 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

Or the sentence someone kidnapping someone and keeping them confined for years would get, since that is effectively what she was attempting.

I have been an advocate for officer body cams for situations like this.

Any officer who turns a camera off, or does not have it on when required should face harsh disciplinary action up to and including termination . . .

Haschel went on to state that the agency is “appalled that anyone would make such a despicable, slanderous and false accusation against a peace officer who willingly risks his life every day to protect and serve the public.”

Yeah right. Cops do the same exact thing all the time, the difference is that they rarely get punished for it.

Stop resisting!

I'd like to think most cops act decent but they do have a pretty low bar on testing qualifications. I can only imagine what dealing with trashy methead gangbanger types everyday can do to your outlook.

I worked for a company installing surveillance equipment for law enforcement all over the country from local to federal. In my experience the chief/top brass and the over all culture plays a major roll in the behavior and attitudes of officers. It can be really bad and it can effect whole departments. But you are correct that that is not common and its mostly good guys trying to do their job, however most do have an us vs them culture even if they are trying to do right they still play for the Blue team.

Cops are very good at profiling and categorizing people. Make sure you easily fit one of the correct categories and you will have no trouble. For example Suburbanite is not a threat to Blue Team. I should point out they are usually right, and most people who get hassled by the cops for 'no reason' just weren't doing anything right then.

If you run from the police, they bring an ass kicking with them. This fuckstick is just stupid. Why is it always some random nigger who's got a rap sheet a fucking country mile and when the cops are coming for him, he decides to run like a gazelle.

I have zero fucking compassion for these people. We only know this side of the story. Watch the video in this thread. The woman is maddening. The cop handled it with patience and she still accused him of rape.

Thank god for body cameras reflecting the true face of the public police have to deal with...just wait for the next courteous police officer killed at an innocent traffic stop...we hire them so we don’t have to do their shitty job and 99.9% are very decent individuals...that’s a higher rating than computer programmers who eat Cheetos, play video games, and don’t bath

Sure, some of the public are scum, but it's blind and naive to insist that some PDs aren't outright mafias.

Either way I'm fine with the cameras. We need way more of them. Accusations without camera footage and a secure chain of evidence shouldn't be considered in court.

Keep listening to the lamestream media. Police abuse is not all that common, it happens but for the most part its rare. If one listened to the news the cops are killing innocents wholesale every day, we know thats not true, ask BLM asswipes. According to them niggers get killed en masse every time they are stopped. Its bullshit.

It's certainly rare on law-abiding citizens. Those who are criminally violent as a way of life, maybe not so much. I'm ok with this. Stop breaking the law. Stop robbing and terrorizing citizens. Stop fighting and disrespecting police. But they demand respect that they haven't earned . . .

Police abuse is not all that common

If even a tenth of the shit whistleblowers/plea-dealers say is true, then non-abusive cops are the rarity.

[–] Goathole 3 points 2 points (+5|-3) ago

Omg, you've got to be kidding right?

Police abuse is not all that common, it happens but for the most part its rare.

Let me introduce you to the Cato Institute, a totally non left wing think tank. I'm probably wasting my breath from what I can tell from your post but oh my god, how you got............oh my god. Not even cops say........

Here's a site that used to monitor instances of molestation of children by police, it's called THIS WEEKS Charge of child molestation by your local police. "This week". It's all but abandoned now for whatever reason.

In 2017 Police killed 1194 people. Sure, not all of them are innocent or weren't a deadly threat but ELEVEN HUNDRED AND NINETY FOUR people were killed by police. I'm absolutely sure many of those people could have been arrested without being killed.

Cops break the law ALL. THE. TIME. and rarely, rarely ever get punished.

So either you're totally fucking naive or outright fucking stupid. You can fuck the fuck right the fuck off.

I'm completely fine with him suing. But if individual officers can sue people who falsely accuse them, then falsely accused civilians need to be able to sue individual officers who falsely accuse them.

if a woman falsly accuses someone of rape and it is proven, they should be allowed to rape her. edit: seeing how this usually is a nasty chick, there should be a court appointed rapist.

still a better job than irs

But who the hell would want to rape her? It'd have to be another convict forced to have sex with her as punishment. Maybe her black husband or something.
