Thanks. I was wondering about his motivation; although, I was not remembering things that well. I could argue that, unfortunate as things like that are, we should not expect things to be free and safe. Freedom is not free. The counterpoint is that censorship also allows creates death. Look at a very censored place, like Soviet Russia. Not only did censorship allow the government to get away with great crime, but much incompetence, corruption,a and inefficiencies are enabled; all of which can have a very large death toll, orders of magnitude higher than a church shooting.

There are a couple great ironies. One is that, while the spirit of self-sacrifice is usually valued, acts such as his are reviled. The other is that he was sacrificing his life and that of others for something he perceived would be good. However, I can't see any good, from any perspective, at all.
