I tried a sandwich from a chic fil a for the first time recently, first time I even ate fast food in over 5 years. But anyways, I wasn't that impressed but for fast food it was good I guess. I can make a better sandwich at home, but I'm the real sandwich king.

I can make a better sandwich at home,

This is like the opposite of the point of fast food. You're not at home, you don't have much spare time, and yet food must be consumed to maintain your energy level.

(That said, I probably average a fast food meal every couple years or so. [BK/McD] Or a couple times per year if you include the local made-from-scratch burger & fries place.)

You're not at home,

What is planning ahead.

you don't have much spare time,

It's a freaking sandwich.

and yet food must be consumed to maintain your energy level.

I deliberately fast from time to time, a day, week. Missing a meal, meh.

This. Wanna know the secret ingredient to make the best hamburgers? Nothing. Years of experimentation and it turns out just don't add anything to the meat and it will taste the best. But you probably already knew that. Dean Martin was right!
