Disobeying flight crew is federal crime punishable by imprisonment and/or huge fines up to $25,000 per violation. The dog owner and the other passengers had no choice but to obey the flight crew's request. Unfortunately this is just how it is.

That's fine. I was only pointing out the law. Most people aren't willing to break the law, especially for someone else.

Despite the flight attendant being wrong the law still applies that it would have been a crime to disobey her orders. You absolutely do have to do what any member of flight crew says. Disobeying will lead to you being forced off the plane and then being fined and/or jailed. Most people aren't going to risk it. In this case, no one risked it.

No choice?! No you have a choice and I assure you in this case you would come out fine because she's 100% in the wrong and the airline even stated that! Why are people such jelly kneed faggots??

Yes, there is a choice. The choice is obey or disobey. Listen closely my faggoty friend, I was only pointing out that federal law requires a passenger to obey flight crew orders and that disobeying, while one of the choices available, will lead to you being forced off the plane and then fined and/or jailed. This is true even if the member of the flight crew gives an order that is against the airline's policy, though I'm sure that fact would help soemone's case in court.

That flight attendant would be in the overhead compartment.

Stop bringing animals on airplanes that have a cabin pressure equivalent of 10k ft which less oxygen is present. Obviously not good for them.

service giraffe

Fixed that for you. Always claim that it is a service animal, and buy it also the proper vest to underline how really, really important it is.

If some cunt instructs you to jeopardize another individual? SAY NO. JUST SAY NO. The urge to obey is so strong in these motherfuckers, I despair for us.

I despair for us.

Us? They were spics that could barely speak english, neither they nor the attendant could probably understand the other

Yea but if you say no to a flight attendant now-a-days they call the air marshal and say you were being aggressive, then you get sodomized by Big Bertha the TSA agent, and banned from the airline for life...

No, you need to fucking stand up for yourself and not be a god damn sheep pussy. So I guess you would just submit to the air waitress and put your dog in the overhead bin because you're scared that not following her absolute insane "order" will get you in trouble when you know you're on the right side?

A dog isn't an individual. But you can always say "no thanks, I'm canceling my flight" and exit... unless the inconvenience of delaying your trip is worth risking your pet's life.

Yea everyone assumes the FA knew just because the victims say so. The FA left crying when she found out the dog died, does that sound like she knew? Probably they couldn't explain themselves well in English.

If this person would have told me that the bag/dog has to go up in the overhead bin... I woulda raised so much hell it would taken every TSA agent and a few Navy Seals to subdue me. Never stay silent when a life is in the balance

This is why I'm on Voat, this is the difference between 'us' and 'them'. The answer is fucking NO.

I thought the difference between us and them is that we don't impose our animal collection on other passengers. No chickens, no goats, no dogs, or whatever. That's "traveling between Peruvian villages on the bus" level behavior. Article indicates they're third worlders, but why did the airline let them stay on once they realized they had a dog?

How do they still exist? We need to hire three old women to hit the passengers over the head with a rolled up newspaper at the boarding gate. NO. NO! BAD!!!

She could have gotten off the plane. And if not, she could've gotten kicked off the plane by making a scene. And if not, she could've gotten fined and contested it later. You can contest a fine, you cannot bring back a dead dog. That dog looked just like my Frenchie. You would have to taze me unconscious in order to get me to put my dog in the overhead compartment.

Hopefully you'd be caught trying to sneak the dog onto the airplane in the first place.

The most infuriating thing is that flight attendants are actually there for safety reasons in the first place (with the service only as an extra duty while there isn't an emergency). That flight attendant failed at their primary job and is inept at it.
