Sometimes you need to stand up and say "My house, My rules."

The problem is Europeans have been taught since birth to reject nationalism and bow down to tourists, vacationers and the state. Germany is doing what every scummy corporation is doing, they keep the old image of themselves, but have a new agenda. So no one knows (or cares) about the political issues in Germany, since no one knows they exist. I fully expect the EU to switch back to francs or country based nominations within the next 20 years

I’m curious about what Austria will do going forward. They’re talking about joining the V4, all of whom have independent currencies. If sanctions hit the Visegrad group, and that includes Austria, I could see it causing a euro crisis and the return of independent monetary policy.

I lived there for a while. This fear of Nationalism is so ingrained. They go so far to publicly reject anything associated with Hitler--true or not.

And because it, they've lost their country.
