Interesting article, but it left me wondering why the hard-working Georgia taxpayers need to subsidize a greedy major corporation for any reason?

people complain about citizens using welfare, when the reality is, corporations eat up most of our tax dollars thru these subsidies.

That's the big scam, you see? "right wing" usually just means "neoconservative". Neoconservatives are, by definition, liberals. Socialists. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neoconservatism

This article is a perfect example. Replace "NRA" with "LGBT equality" and you've got yourself a progressive. They don't disagree with leftist tactics they just disagree with who is being targeted by them. They don't disagree with welfare, they just endorse corporate welfare instead.

This sets a concerning precedence. Today you're all cheering because they're sticking it to progressives and then tomorrow they do the same thing and you'll want them ousted from office. Gotta look at the underlying principles not just who's getting screwed.

This is using the government as a tool to strong-arm corporations into compliance. At worst it's blatant extortion and at best it's bribery. Anybody with this mentality doesn't belong in office.

Its much much worse then the normies know and weirdly the alt right or conservatives some how think its totaly ok for corporate welfare but welfare to feed poor people is insanity.. No company making a fucking profit should get a thing from my tax dollars except the great roads my tax dollars supply the army my tax dollars supply the educated workforce my taxdollars pay for.. What fucking reason would a company that makes billions in profits need shit from me!! Taxation with out representation.

It's a bribe to keep them from taking their 25,000 jobs elsewhere.

this is naive thinking,so does comcast gets subsidies for the same reason? nah,its just payback for them being a good sport during the campaign aka economical contributions

Exactly, they shouldn't had been giving them a penny to start with. Dims have always used taxes as a means of control now that worthless Pubs are at it.

It's a wash either way. Corporate taxation or corporate welfare just distorts the market in ways that the manipulators imagine are "shaping the economy."

But this move belies that. It's all about extortion and political control - for good or evil ... it's all about control.

I am beginning to question the notion that all corporations care about is profits; it sure seems like, depending on the company, that social engineering/NWO takes priority over profits. Of course, who knows what sort of shell game they're playing with money, or whether (((they))) are perfectly willing sacrifice certain organizations for their long-term goals. Regardless, (((they))) control the money printers.

As long as they have government protection they don't need to care.

Remember how Twitter has never once turned a profit but still keeps finding angel investors to keep poring their money in.

Profit seekers are in high finance or in low entrepreneurial businesses trying to get by. Corporations don't care much for profits at all.

I think the recent push for blatant social/political commentary by corporations is all based off some big advertising guy who made the claim that the millennial consumers want brands they agree with on issues. So the idiots in charge of these corporations bought that thinking because they can't think for themselves. They are the same people who watch MSM so they can know what to think about all the recent news. Original thought is tough for these people so they will follow whatever trend they get told is the new best thing.

There are no car rental companies that didn't boycott the NRA.

I did not believe that until I checked it out!

On February 24 Breitbart News reported a summary list of companies planning to end their relationship with the NRA:

First National Bank of Omaha Enterprise Rent-A-Car Symantec Metlife Delta Airlines United Best Western Alamo Rent a Car Avis Allied Van Lines Budget Chubb Insurance Hertz North American Van Lines Paramount Rx SimpliSafe TrueCar

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2018/02/24/nra-corporate-boycotts-of-nra-a-shameful-display-of-political-and-civic-cowardice/

Lyft, it is!

Hertz and Avis dropped NRA.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/mor ... 6e89d383ef

I am both an Avis Preferred Plus member and a Hertz Five Star member. I contacted both of them this evening, informing them that due to their decision to drop their partnership with the NRA, I am dropping my use of them, and will use Lyft and Uber going forward.
