Good! Every public space needs to be available for free speech. No more of this commie bullshit of herding voices you don't want to hear into free speech pens.

As long as such speech or protest does not disrupt classes... and no, people don't get to claim that opinions in and of themselves are a disruption.

The title is misleading, it makes it seem like they're trying to ban free speech on campuses. It should read the inverse "Florida joins push to preserve free speech rights on school campuses". I understand what a "free speech zone" is, but the average american probably doesn't, so a title like this will just cause confusion and outrage.

I was confused. I am a Florida resident and I thought "wait a god damned minute!" Then I read, the article. I'm good now.

Someone should make a no 'free speech just propaganda zone' and put a sign every 20 yards on the US.

This is huge. We need to focus on passing laws and getting legislators elected who share our values.

Better than nothing. Though a legislative solution to a rights issue will always be a bandaid until the next war, moral panic, or sjw fad comes along. The fact that they got away with it constitutionally, both in campuses and in cities, is troubling. But I'll take any victory we can get, and especially living in florida and graduating from florida schools, I hope it gets passed.
