Oh no! Now the blue states can't commit fraud to steal from the federal govt. I wonder what the correlation is between states using federal funds by reclassifying projects and their political leanings?

steal from the federal govt

They dont steal from the federal goverment.

The federal goverment steals from tax payers.

Taxation is theft.

When people organize in any way that requires group funding they wilfully create a system by which that funding is procured from the members. These are called dues, or membership fees, or taxes. When a new member joins they must also pay, and by joining they implicitly agree to those terms.

The problem is not taxation, it is the squandering and stealing and special interest money grabbing that is the problem.

You will never fix a problem you can't identify.

No, they still commit fraud to steal more of the money that the government has stolen from the tax payers.

Additional fraud. With more steps.

Fuck New Jersey, fuck New York and fuck their tunnel, you want it, you pay for it. You'll rape and pillage the taxpayer anyway with over billing, over budget and corruption. Fucking communist shitholes.

I love winning, even tho NJ is probably going to up my taxes for a shit tunnle I'll never use and won't be completed til 2077, it took the DOT like 3 years to finish 3k feet of road on the GSP, fuck NJ and NY

I frequently drive from 98 to 139 on the GSP for school. They should repaint the traffic lines first. Cant see shit early in the morning and repainting the lines will have more of a benefit that a useless ass tunnel...

Well if their project was that much of a "critical national infrastructure project" we will soon all be doomed when people can't get from New Jersey to New York. But I think it is far more likely the project will die now and everything will be the same as before, except we have a tiny bit more federal funding going to something else.

I'm glad he told them to fuck off, but it won't be the same, traffic into the Holland and Lincon tunnels is fucking ridiculous and getting worse with all the fuckers moving out of NYC because it cost to much to live there, now they commute to NYC for work, I'm just glad I no longer have to drive into that shit city.

Libs love trains. They can go on those instead.

I have made the drive more than once. How people do that shit twice a day on a daily basis is incomprehensible to me. If I had to do that for more than a few days I would probably drive off a bridge.

This tunnel is more important than people lead on. This tunnel connects the south side of Amtrak’s northeast corridor to Manhattan. If this tunnel fails, Boston and other points from New York on to the north would be cut off from the majority of the Amtrak network. No trains south of NYC would be able to go further north than Secacus junction (used by NJ transit, but Amtrak passes through) meaning no traffic from Philly, Baltimore, or DC. The economic damage would exceed the cost of the project and not just locally. This isn’t just for commuters and if, god forbid, we have to shut down our airspace like 9/11 again we need this damn tunnel, the highways would not handle either the tunnel or aviation being down, let alone possibly both.

That said, however, the federal government should not be burdened with 100 percent of the funding.

It costs $15 to cross the George Washington bridge. A bridge that's 90 years old that 103 million people cross each year nets them 772.5 million a year roughly in revenue.

They budgeted 1 billion for long term repairs. Someone please tell me How the fuck can they not fund the tunnel themselves?

Why should other cities subsidize New York crap? No more salt deduction

Why don't we just encourage more employers to let their employees work from home? Then we wouldnt need to put such a toll on the transportation infrastructure. It seems silly to spend $13 billion to reduce a bit of car congestion from 7 to 9 am and then again at 4 to 5:30pm.
