It is strange, but it's a thing that happens every year in France, at least since long enough before 2007-08-09 when I was there that they expected it. They said the same thing then 'considering the riots that wasn't half bad' and I said the same thing to my host family: "what the ever loving fuck are you even talking about? there were zero cars burned in america which is 10 times bigger" and they basically said its normal there.

It was the same almost a decade earlier. Did you ever take the night bus outside Paris? Crazy times. They like to torch cars in Germany too.

Sad stat: the best hamburger and fries ive ever had is in France,, and it costs less than ten bucks at midnight outside some club. I went back the next day it was soo good. Five guys is a close second.
