Can't wait to see the spin that gets put on this - $200 million+ in bonuses and wage increases as well.

My guess is the controlled media will try to single out a few base employees that didn't get the bonus, but won't report on why (like recently starting and not being employed long enough to qualify, being on a disciplinary plan, or other valid reasons). Then they'll say it's just like they told us, this tax plan is only helping the wealthy.

Next on Nightline, the controversy surrounding AT&T's recent bonus and wage increases, and how they disproportionately went to white males.

I wonder how long these bonuses will last.

Not sure, I guess it depends on how AT&T does over the next year and if they decide they've done well enough to give out a 2018 bonus as well.

The wage increases mentioned in the article seem like the bigger win anyways.

Good for them. And every employee will pay taxes on the giveaway.

They are also increasing their capital spending by 1 billion dollars.

They are also taxed at the highest rate in the world, and we wonder why companies that are flush with cash don't want to engage in hiring and capital investments. Gee, I wonder………….

I wonder if Trump isn't talking to some manufacturing company to make a move like this. Can you image the memes of Obama talking about how "those jobs aren't coming back."

If companies follow AT&T's lead here, the above video is going to cement Obama's legacy in the shitter. It will be a running joke forever.

That was interesting. Listening to him annoys me far less now that I know it is purely historical and he is not President.

If this keeps up Joe Public is going to realize how lucky we are that we didn't elect President Clinton 2: nafta boogaloo. I wonder what not having to pay the health insurance shakedown is going to do for the President's approval rating. This was a brilliant move on Republican's part.

AT&T's monopoly will likely grow, but hey, if a little bit of this trickle down thing you guys have been spouting for a generation hits what's left of the middle class, you will silence a lot of critics. I really hope to see retailers start pushing made in America products, consumers voting with their wallets, and our manufacturing jobs thriving once again across middle America. A strong middle class throughout the heartland is a beautiful thing. Small town main street with thriving locally owned businesses is the America I love and wish to see again.

I might even vote Republican next time having seen the future Obama was pushing as opposed to what's happening now.

It's ironic that Obama talks about those jobs that aren't coming back while shilling for Hillary. It was a Clinton that sent those jobs to Mexico.
