Personally, I'm all for giving people all the drugs they want. All you can partake.
Three things will happen.
(1) most of the problem cases will weed themselves out automatically. The people we're better off without? won't take long till we're better off.
(2) the people who aren't hurting anybody and using responsibly will continue to use responsibly and not hurt anyone.
(3) The edge cases, the Ozzy Osbournes, and Keith Richardses will thrive despite their vices, and science can study what allows them to survive it, make us stronger.

Jailing someone because they might commit a crime is just as bad as jailing someone because they said wrongthink on Voat. Both are ridiculous.

If I have to pay $88 a day for her to be in jail or when I have to pay higher insurance prices because she OD'ed and went to the hospital I start to care.
