As for the channers, as their Swedish flag effort petered out by the end of the week, some claimed not to be too disappointed.

"Its always worth a try but [I don't care]," one told Trending. "Would be funny if it worked."

that pretty much sums it up. most pranks don't work out well, which is why it's so satisfying when one takes off with the normies. BBC gets it wrong as usual.

It was well over 4,000 signatures when I last had seen it. The prank was "failing" so badly that BBC Trending felt the need to immediately contact Avaaz to get it removed.

yeah, I suppose BBC talking about it at all shows that it wasn't really a fail.

maybe the hackers on 4chan just tried to push it this one too soon. Once Sweden is x% more Muslim I'm sure this will take off.
