Election records should never be erased. Destruction of data should be a criminal offense.

Well in this case it's definitely a criminal offense. You can't destroy evidence in a court case, the judicial system frowns on that.

Unfortunately these days "definitely a criminal offense" is not what I think it is. I did not realize it is relative to the level of political connection you have. In Hillary's case, she is so connected that "definitely a criminal offense" means that the head of the FBI will exonerate you before the investigation begins and then defend his actions in front of a Congressional Committee.

Be a real shame if they just deleted everything and forgot to actively destroy the data with something like the dod nuke program. Them data recovery boys will have a real field day if they just did that.

This is what I have a problem grasping. They always are able to successfully make deleted data unrecoverable when it harms them, but if you or I deleted shit and tried to cover ourselves they would spend bookoo bucks to recover and destory us. The only think govermental IT is good at is deletion, and criminal entrapment.

In politics it's usually done as it's convenient, but in reality there is a point where data can't be recovered. What happens when data is deleted on a computer is it's not actually deleted but earmarked to be overwritten. How data destruction programs work is generally they just write junk data all over it, sort of like taking a sharpie to a letter that was written to hide the contents. It is sometimes possible to go over a disk that has had this happen with special tools and software to find what was written but not always.

The only surefire way to permanently delete data that I know of is to ground up the media it's on into a dust and scatter it.

It's not left versus right, it's the people versus the establishment. And also the sane versus the insane, who the establishment intentionally puts upon their soapboxes and hands them megaphones. In both cases, the former outnumber the latter, but they desperately shout as loud as they can to make people think otherwise.

Georgia resident here. I strongly suspect it was not a democrat wiping these servers. Brian Kemp, Secretary of State, is a republican running for governor. If I were to guess based on other actions of his I've seen/experienced, this was a third-party software contractor buddy of his who did the wiping. Brian Kemp seems to like to repay his pals with lucrative software contracts (See: Peachpundit Article, 2014). Just my hunch.

PS/Edit - I clearly missed your sarcasm, @MakeUsaGreatAgain, and for that I apologize. My meter is usually working pretty well. I'm still sticking with my hunch that Kemp is not really trustworthy on this issue because of his past history of cronyism.

That was kind of his point. The reference to Dems was Hillary and the DNC. The poster was advocating Republicans wipe servers when it helps them to do so.

google: buy server cloth

6″ x 6″ size quickly wipes even the biggest email servers with thousands of emails. Buy an extra cloth for your VIP (VERY VIP) client.
