This almost sounds like mod teams could consider leaving and moving to other sites, such as Voat, or even something else. If they do the work to put the celebrity coordinating network and infrastructure as something they own, then reddit doesn't really provide much value, just readers. By giving that up, that could end up hurting reddit corp in the future if mod teams just move their communities. Voat should try and recruit some mod teams over for good subreddits

I would love some of those Mods over here. And yes, I know there are some douche bag mods out there that need to get kicked. But still, very knowledgable people

I would hope that Atko would invite some of the better mods. Or mods for verses that already exist here could reach out.

I can't really see what huge value these mods added. I mean how hard is it to msg someone on twitter and ask them if they want to do an AMA?

I think it's much more time consuming than that, and moderating involves many, many judgment calls, which can either make for a harmonious community or a vitriolic one.
