They already confirmed the carpet matches. Although, the placement of the brass and blood trail of the revolver is being questioned.

What about the new blood on top of old blood? Looks like the new blood is coming out of his mouth, so the other might be from the back of his head, but how long does it take to dry? EDIT: or the other way around. Also looks dried on his shirt (and it came from where?).

Venous blood and arterial blood have different viscousities/flow rate, and coloration. Venous blood dries much darker than arterial blood.

My question is is there a small white lump between his ear and jawline on the left side of the throat? Is that significant?

Yeah, I'm no forensics expert but those are some good questions. One theory about the dried blood on the shirt is the gun was resting on his chest after he committed suicide but prior to SWAT entry. When SWAT entered they kicked the gun off his chest as they cleared the room.

SWAT would have kicked the gun away if it was in his hand still. Bad for them to so that but he did just shoot over 500 people. I doubt they were thinking about crime scene recovery.

It is not very likely the gun would still be in his hand after he shot himself. I don't see how the gun could land that far over his head. It looks like the gun was laying in the pool of blood and was moved.

Basically all photos point towards Mr Paddock being left handed.
