Even more interesting is that planes have crashed into buildings before, and they didn't collapse.

Or that jet fuel can't melt steel beams. Or that BBC reported the WTC7 collapsing before it even collapsed.

It can't melt them, but it can reduce their stability to a point where they can no longer bear the weight a gigantic skyscraper.

Or that one of George Bush's brothers worked for WTC and he resigned from that job in advance giving 9/11 as the day he quit to go work for American Airlines. Barbara Bush said this on video and I think put it in her book. And bomb sniffing dogs were removed from WTC's weeks before the event.

the logic here is asinine. If burning jet fuel (essentially kerosene) can melt metal than how come engines don't all melt from the inside out as they fly through the sky?

They were designed to withstand a strike. That's what makes the circumstances even more odd. http://www1.ae911truth.org/faqs/655-faq-9-were-the-twin-towers-designed-to-survive-the-impact-of-the-airplanes.html

Didn't they burn for days? The every-other-towers that didn't collapse.

Or how there was molten pools in the basement of the trade centers more than a month after 9/11. Or what about wtc 7 and how it was basically untouched compared to the towers and it fell at free fall speeds.

Free demolition for that asbestos-filled tower that you didn't have to spend millions to renovate.

And seeing as they were filled with an astronomical quantity of asbestos, they should have been even harder to burn down than other buildings that have burned before/since (and not collapsed). It turned out to be a nasty carcinogen, but asbestos works really damn well at its actual job (fire retardant).

Larry Silverstein

In January 2001, Silverstein, via Silverstein Properties and Westfield America, made a $3.2 billion bid for the lease to the World Trade Center.[16] Silverstein was outbid by $30 million by Vornado Realty, with Boston Properties and Brookfield Properties also competing for the lease. However, Vornado withdrew and Silverstein's bid for the lease to the World Trade Center was accepted on July 24, 2001.[17] This was the first time in the building's 31-year history that the complex had changed management.

.

The lease agreement applied to One, Two, Four, and Five World Trade Center, and about 425,000 square feet (39,500 m2) of retail space. Silverstein put up $14 million of his own money to secure the deal.[18] The agreement gave Silverstein, as leaseholder, the right and the obligation to rebuild the structures if destroyed.

.

Silverstein has said in interviews that he usually spent his mornings in breakfast meetings at Windows on the World on top of the World Trade Center North Tower, and with new tenants in the building. However, the morning of September 11, 2001, his wife insisted that he attend a medical appointment. Due to the appointment, he escaped almost certain death.[20]

.

All of the buildings at the World Trade Center, including buildings 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 were destroyed or damaged beyond repair on September 11, 2001. After a protracted dispute with insurers over the amount of coverage available for rebuilding World Trade Center buildings 1, 2, 4 and 5, a series of court decisions determined that a maximum of $4.55 billion was payable and settlements were reached with the insurers in 2007.

Thank goodness for impromptu medical appointments. Can you image how bad this would look if they were the sort of engagements that were scheduled months ahead of time?

Yehp. Throw everything out the window because they didn't book their alibi months before hand?

Edit: Here's some other coincidences that im going to copy and paste from my other comment in a similar thread.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dov_S._Zakheim

During the 2000 U.S. Presidential election campaign, Zakheim served as a foreign policy advisor to George W. Bush as part of a group led by Condoleezza Rice that called itself The Vulcans.

.

From 1987–2001, Zakheim was CEO of SPC International, a subsidiary of System Planning Corporation, a high-technology analytical firm. During that period he served as a consultant to the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and sat on a number of major DoD panels, including its Task Force on Defense Reform (1997) and the DoD's first Board of Visitors of Overseas Regional Centers (1998–2001).

.

http://www.sysplan.com/capabilities/radar/fts/index.html

The Flight Termination System (FTS) is a fully redundant turn-key range safety and test system for remote control and flight termination of airborne test vehicles.

.

In a document called “Rebuilding America’s Defenses: Strategy, Forces and Resources for a New Century” published by The American Enterprise’s “Project for a New American Century”(1), System Planning Corporation (SPC) International executive, Dov Zakheim, called for “some catastrophic and catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor” being necessary to foster the frame of mind needed for the American public to support a war in the Middle East that would politically and culturally reshape the region. A respected and established voice in the intelligence community, his views were eagerly accepted, and Dov went from his position at Systems Planning Corporation to become the Comptroller of the Pentagon in May 2001.

If I wanted to distract the public I would fabricate my own conspiracy such as "Jet fuel can't melt steel beams" and have everyone focus all of there energy on this!
