That's probably true, but a tradition with no positive aspect, and a number of negative aspects, needs to die. How about they begin a tradition of keeping the fish in a 30 gallon plastic trash can that costs $10. Then they could bathe. The fish wouldn't be a "bathtub fish". The bathtub wouldn't be contaminated by a fish. The whole "fish in the bathtub" is so strange that only a weird type of lifestyle could explain it. Really raises a lot of unfavorable questions about those people.
