For those who don't know the point is you buy the fish a few days early instead of waiting for the last minute. You keep it alive in your bathtub because you don't have a big fish tank just for Christmas dinner. Then you have fresh fish.
You keep it alive in your bathtub because you don't have a big fish tank just for Christmas dinner.
Nothing about this practice hints at intelligence. "Say, let's stop bathing." "I know, we'll eat some shitty fish for Christmas instead of something good." There's so much more, but I think I've made my point.
There is zero evidence of the power being on. Water isn't above the outlets, so the risk would be minimal even if it were. Even water covered outlets are only dangerous when you get close to them, and they don't necessarily trip the breaker even when underwater.
Summary: Flood preperation should include turning off the incoming power line.
ProTip: Don't live in a flood plane or zone and you can watch the flooded out idiots on youtube streams. (because you won't have to turn off your power...)
Not to make fun of a bad thing...but having been thru a coupla hurricanes in FL...you take humor where you can find it. That being said...Damn Texas has it all....fishing in your livingroom.

Dude... that water is probably pretty well mixed in with contents of the neighborhood septic tanks.
He's pretty much swimming his face around in his neighbor's poop.

Not to mention at any moment the entire house could become electrified and fry everyone inside it. No surprise they aren't speaking English.

Reminds me of the Polish christmas tradition of keeping a live carp in your bath tub.
