There's been an information overload recently. Too many dots and history does repeat.

That book has too many connecting dots

All of this has happened before, all of it will happen again. So say we all.

Dang man, get outta my head. You've articulated it to a 'T,' better than I could have. I've said that before, about the importance of the Internet and it's use, or the role it is playing, in connecting dots - sure, I've gotten a weird look or two.

I probably shouldn't be running around gabbing like that if I'm not looking for undue attention, but it has absolutely not gone unnoticed to me. I've tried explaining it before, but to the wrong person it just comes out as gibberish, ranting, conspiracy and alilens and Scientology.

It's why I've returned to going to service more regularly - but even that, though it seems disconnected on the surface level, feels correct to me. Feels like what I should be doing. And maybe that, the root of that, is another dot - what I'm mistaking as a 'drive to connect to spirituality' is actually a drive to divvy up, to start forming up while clouds gather thicker by the day.

I hate to use something faggy like Zeitgeist in an unironic way.

I clear my head when it starts to travel down rabbit holes by resorting to the classic dead-end fallback: "It is connected, there's something amiss, and it's far bigger than even a collective people can possibly begin to fully rationalize."

Sit back, eyes open, but breathe.

Any ways, good post, thanks for giving me an outlet for a minute. Carry on, all. Carry on.

Look for a book called "Prometheus Rising". It's a book about different "circuits" of consciousness. It overlaps with a lot of spiritual beliefs that we are entering a "new age" that will be populated be "a new man".

It used to be most people cared about having enough food. Then they started to care about authority and the pecking order. Then they cared about rationality and enlightenment. Now people are starting to care more about being a good parent and raising a family. If the pattern holds, an interesting shift will occur: we'll stop seeing ourselves as individuals. Not that individuality will die, mind you, we will just grow another layer on top of it, as we have with the previous layers. It's there, and will be addressed, but we have more pressing issues.

That weird "feeling" you get when you "sense" that you "should" be doing something? That's the new part of your mind forming. That compulsion to be part of something larger than yourself (religion, race, political ideology) is just a fancy way of saying that we are outgrowing our current state.

Oh sure, we've been having this discussion for a while now, centuries at least. But it's getting more prevalent now, the ideas are growing faster. This new thing, like all other types of life, is growing at an exponential rate. Soon it won't just be people thinking, but groups of people thinking and acting in unison. I think the internet will play a role in this. After all, can any one person create a meme, or is it a community thing? We can talk about Pepe and 4chan, but nobody gives a fuck about who Matt Furie or Christopher Poole is. The individual is dead, all hail the internet hivemind.

I could be wrong, but here's a fun little brain exercise for you: catch yourself throughout the day and ask "Am I doing this, or is something bigger working through me?" Personal example: I don't want to be a Nazi, but my race needs me to. In all honesty I want to work my office job and play video games. Yet here I am working out, reading about the history of my race. As an individual, I'm an atheist. Even after all the things I've read and seen, nothing really changed about that. Yet here I am posting about spiritual beliefs, implicitly suggesting things like fate and "higher consciousnesses".

Are you angry at the world, or is the world angry at itself through you?

I've come to think that what we're seeing is a glimpse of "god" or the "matrix" (if you want to call it that) it's everywhere, all the time. It's there when you need and when you don't. Whether you see it or not. It's always there. Maybe that's why going to service is feeling right to you. I hate to sound like a religious nut job but I "know" it to be true. Ever watch "the secret" ? The first time I watched it- it seemed like a bunch of mumbo jumbo trash to me. If you haven't watched it, go spend the time or go back and re watch it. It still has shitty production but now that you know what you do it makes more sense.

I have been living that way for sometime it is freaky at first. seeing things come up over and over when they never did before like having a conversation about something. Or even just thinking something in your head and having someone else say it. (and the most interesting part is knowing it will happen)

The same this has been happening to me lately, where I would read about some old article and hear about it on the news the next day or think about some random thing from my childhood and see a question about it in the crossword the next day or now thinking about a strange phenomenon and seeing it mentioned in a voat comment...freaky stuff

You should try a book called "quantum psychology" by Robert Anton Wilson 1990

Then read the Illuminatus Trillogy, and then when you think you know something from that, read the Principia Discordia and have your head fucked.

Hail Eris, All Hail Discordia! FNORD!

People should read the article; this shit is spookier than OP's title makes it seem. I've downloaded the books; I'm going to give them some reads. The last of three books is titled The Last President, and there is apparently a "master of all masters" character named Don...

See, sure. I get that coincidences happen. I get that there's an effect where, once you notice something specific (a word, number, whatever) you're more prone to seeing it everywhere else.

But I mean come on.

Come. On. There's a lot down this hole, in weird and kind of 'too coincidental to be coincidence' level of happenings.

I dunno man. Looks like rain, feel like spinning in circles or something.

Hey I'm not saying this time travel business is real. I'm just saying after a certain number of coincidences I'm compelled to look into it.

Just from skimming the article, it seems like there are too many coincidences for them to just be coincidences. I'm convinced that either Baron is a time traveler or the book itself is fake. How is the authenticity of the book verified?

The publisher was "Lee and Shepard Publishers", and they do exist, or at least did. They have a wiki page.

The author was Ingersoll Lockwood <-- page on him from sf-encyclopedia.

Searching this author on book depository reveals results to all three of the mentioned Baron Books.

The third book is on Goodreads.

The second book is available on amazon but I can't link to it (banned domain).

Everything seems to point to these books being real...

The versions I downloaded seem to be physical copies where photographs were taken of every page in order to create the pdf. I'm investigating the given copyright pages now

There was one thread on /pol/ where a dude was uploading page by page scans from a physical copy of the book that looked old and legit. Not technically a verification, I know, but personally I believe it.

I actually agree with someone commenting that this world is a simulation.

It's like a fractal, it has a certain seed, and due to having that seed certain patterns repeat in various forms.

Interesting thought, when you look where you find fractals in nature, and how moch information they can store.

This article is most likely predictive programming. Look at some of the numbers in the article. Something will happen during the eclipse on Aug 23 that will take us back to "1776" hence the time traveling narrative and Trump being president.

There is no such thing as coincidence. The world's a stage.

Eclipse on August 23.

If you based any conclusions on this date, I've got some bad news.

Love this theory. Even if it's complete bullshit, it's too fun.

The time traveler memes are the best.

I like the ones about Pence, and him posing as Kaine's wife. That thread had me rolling, it was so well executed.
