forbid students form participating in social clubs during their time as undergraduates.

How is this remotely enforceable or even legal?

The same way a university could suspend/expel you for being accused of raping someone. It's their land, their rules, regardless of how fucked up those rules are.

Since Harvard is a private university they can make a lot more ridiculous rules than if they were a state school.

Regardless I can see how this would keep a lot of sane people away from there.

Going after their free speech isn't enough, now they want their free assembly too.

Right? That line about "private, exclusionary" groups was ridiculous. If I want to play baseball with some friends, I shouldn't have to let anybody who shows up play with us. I view it the same way if an organization wants to have a ball, or a social hour, or whatever frats/sororities do nowadays.

Wonder if that will affect the donation pool. The thing about trying to eradicate the old boy's club is that you run out of old boys to pay for that new wing of the library. Gender studies grads are total deadbeat tightwads who only like to spend other people's money, so good luck squeezing contributions out of them.

Unless they think the chinks are going to bring up the slack? Good luck preventing the exact same, if not worse, privileged behavior from their children if that comes to pass. Add to that the diminishing reputation of the college as literal rich brats who expect everything to be bought and paid for over-take local grown industry builders and innovators as your graduating body.

It absolutely while, I know a lot of people who donate to their fraternities over the school and probably won't give at all if they get rid of them.

They are not telling their donors that they keep losing the best professors. They get sick of dealing with the brats and the bureaucracy that they go to state schools.

I would care but, Harvard has already rid itself of intelligent European Americans who have any thoughts/ideas/views that go beyond "cuck me harder!!!!".....

True enough. I think the real problem is other colleges follow the example of the so-called 'Elite' schools like Harvard. It's a race to the bottom as Harrison Bergeron becomes truth. It's the controlling peons telling the students, "You can't have anything that makes you special, because it makes other people feel bad!"

PC rules: no free speech, no free assembly, no US constitution.

Frats are on their way out I fear.

They hit them with so many rules that they've had to take everything underground and that's how you end up with things like this Penn state death.

They threaten kids with expulsion and banishment and expect them to call the police on themselves when a drunk housemate does a header down the stairs.

Trying to police off-campus interactions is stupid and counter-productive. By sidestepping the issue by not recognizing them, Harvard is doing something smart.
