Why wouldn't they just save themselves this pointless hassle and go find a gay-friendly bakery?

This baker is going to shit inside their cake.

Causing a hassle was the point, not getting a cake made.

in britain a few years ago there was a bed and breakfast ran by a christian couple that asked all their non married guests not to sleep in the same bed. An activist gay couple decided to turn this into a national outrage by misleading them when making the booking over the phone, knowing that there would be problems when they turned up on the day. In the end, the business lost everything after they were ordered to pay out to these pathetic opportunists

This is so fucking ridiculous. Would a gay baker be forced to bake a swastika pie? Even better, why would u want to piss a baker off and force him to cook for u? I think that would end up horribly. Prob be a big pile of rainbow shit, or he would use salt instead of sugar. They would be lucky if he didn't poison them. I'm flabbergasted. Is this really where we are at in our society?

This is the solution really if the precedent is set that they have to bake the cake.

A few people in each state go to their SJW bakery and ask for a cake with a Swastika and Happy Birthday Adolf! on it.

They get rejected the goes case to court, SJW's lose money as they have broken the law.

or

The SJW bakery has to make the cake and you post it on insta/face/twitter whatever with a photo thanking them for such a delicious cake.

Really, though, the idea of being forced to do anything as a free citizen is absurd.

I don't think this is where we are at as a society, I think that the coverage and that it has progressed to this point, where normal people like you are WTF'ing, has just been to distract and divide the American public.

That's the only logical answer really. A UFO crashed or something lol.

No, they'll label the swastika a hate symbol and the SJW bakery will sue for the trauma of the ordeal

I like the swastika. It implies direction, balance and is overall quite aesthetic. I like the double lightening bolts too.

Lol if I was that baker, I'd put a bunch of hot dog weinies in donuts with chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla syrup. If they are hipster fags they might like it ironically tho.

The big test is whether they'd pull the same stunt on a Muslim bakery. Maybe ask for a nice cartoon of Muhammad taking it in the ass on top.

Or have the toppers be an adult holding hands with a kid. (Kid could be a child or young goat)

For me, its irrelevant whether it's a cake for a gay wedding, a swastika cake, a cake in the shape of a dick, or a regular birthday cake. It is their business and no one is entitled to their business. If they don't want to make the cake for them then as the business owners that should be their decision. Don't like it? Then go somewhere else and tell your friends and family not to support that business.

Why don't people think like this. Personally I think that they should legally be forced to make the cake, but just so I can find mudslime bakeries and demand cakes of pedophiles... I mean Muhammad

It's pretty black and white to you and me, but lefties don't think that way. They're authoritarians by nature. They don't believe in freedom of association, and very often not even in freedom of speech. The government gets to decide what you can and cannot say and even who you can -- no, who you must -- do business with. That alone is a reason to never give the left a vote.

Now, if US voters would also defend an owner's right to refuse any customer for any reason. That would cause no harm to anyone, yet many/most would not stand for it.

Honest question:

How many defend a Christian baker's right to refuse, and how many defend a Muslim baker's right to refuse?

[–] issueninja 0 points 6 points (+6|-0) ago

The federal government defends the rights of Muslims to refuse. And gets them a check for about a quarter of a million dollars.

Two Muslim truck drivers fired for refusing to transport alcohol, saying it violates their religious beliefs, sue for $240,000 in federal court. http://www.overdriveonline.com/eeoc-awards-muslim-truckers-240k-after-being-fired-for-refusing-to-haul-alcohol/

Oops...dropped the cake on the way to the wedding.

Making sure they don't get a cake is even better than refusing to make one.

rights > feelings. freedom of association is too important, especially for businesses
