They did a similar experiment where applicants were interviewed over VOIP with their voices modulated to hide the sex of the candidates. Men still outperformed women: the women had trouble answering questions that challenged the strength of their abilities, were less persistent due to fear of rejection, and focused more on chit-chat than conveying their skills and value as a potential employees.
Frankly, women generally make bad leaders and lack assertiveness. That's not to say I have never seen a good female boss, but it is rare.
